Papa and me went to meet Shaine and Ian's teacher yesterday since the 1st term is coming to an end. Both of them are adapting well in Captstone and getting alone well with their new friends.
Ms Merane's comments for Ian
Ms Merane said that Ian has short attention span but he has improved a lot and is now able to sit through the whole lesson. He used to get restless and will get up to walk around. Ian will initiate play with classmates but he has to learn to share toys because at times, he still quite possesive of the toys. Ian is always cheerful and enjoys his class very much. The teacher also praised Ian for being an independent boy for his age and he is the second youngest in class. Everyday, he'll take out his own water bottle and put his bag into his pigeon hole.
Ms Irene's comments for Shaine
Ms Irene said that Shaine is very conscious and observant of her environment and will report anything that is not in place. (I thought this is very kaypoh) Shaine has very good memory and will remind the teacher to do certain things if they forgets. Shaine is like the big sister in class and always want to be number 1. (I don't know if this is good or bad) In order to be first, she sometimes rushed through her work so the teacher will get her to re-do. At a tender age, Shaine has a mind of her own and wants to do things her way. Therefore, the teacher has to spend more time explaining to why certain things has to be done in certain way. One positive thing is she will take care of Ian. Once, she got so upset when Ian's class was arranged to sit further from her during chapel time. she sneaked out and sat beside ian because she wanna be with Ian.
