Pulau Ubin

We've not been to PU for a long time and when my sister asked if we wanna bring the kids there, we thought 'why not?'. Shaine & Ian enjoyed the trip and wanted to go back there.

This is the kids first trip to Pulau Ubin and they were excited to ride on the bumboat.

But Josh was afraid and stick to Papa like glue.

This is at the house of the PU village chief. My parents know the family and they will visit them quite often. In fact, my parents made this trip at their invitation as it is the durian season. The island was packed with 'durian pickers'.

The durians were good, bitter sweet though not 'mao shan'.

Josh helped to pick the durian. I was worried that he would drop the durian & hurt his feet.

This well is located at the back of the house and there is still underground water. Give us a chance to educate the kids of underground water.

Ian discovered a brinjal underneath the leaves.

We rented two bicycles and cycled to the Malay kampong. It comes with child seat so that we could fetch Shaine & Ian. There are a cluster of houses and people mainly come here to take pictures, take a break and get a cold drink (sold by the villagers).

While we cycled, my helper pushed Josh on the stroller and followed us. But the heat was killing him and had to be fanned.

Taking a last shot before going home!

And bye bye Pulau Ubin, we hope to be back again.
