Desaru & Kota Tinggi

With a few of Papa's friends, we went to Desaru and Kota Tinggi. We have wanted to bring the kids for fireflies watching in KL previously but due to the rainy weather, we gave it a miss. Papa's friends said that we don't have to go that far to watch, can do it in Kota Tinggi.

Desaru - Crocodile Farm

These are about 2 weeks old baby crocs.

This one is about 1 yr old. It just rested there quietly and doesn't even move when we tried to get it's attention.

Desaru seafood lunch - Shaine helped to choose a lobster.

Kota Tinggi - The water is icy cold and after half an hour, the kids' were shivering and their lips turned violet. The water is very clear and you are able to see the fishes in it. But gotta be very careful when walking in the water because the rock are rather slimy due to the algae.

Done with water play and on the way for dinner then fireflies watching.

Hanging around, waiting to board the boat.

Each of us is given a life vest. At least, I feel safer for the kids.

Our helper said that back in the Philippines, she can see fireflies at the back of her house. Ha... to think that now, we have to pay to see them.

On the boat and no photography when we go near the swamps. In case we scare the fireflies.

Birdnests under the bridge.

The boat ride was about half an hour. We were lucky to go after a drizzle and there are more of the fireflies. In fact, the guide said that it was much more that night. It was very pretty, just like glittering trees in the dark. The kids were all amazed.
